The practical expression of loving kindness can
be traced
to Thailand more than 2500 years ago from the
Vajrayana
or Diamond Healing Lineage of Tibet. Thai
massage
technique incorporates elements of mindfulness,
gentle
rocking, deep stretching, and rhythmic
compression to
create a singular healing experience. This
introductory
workshop is suitable for new students, Yoga
teachers' or
practitioners seeking an alternative modality
from a
spiritual perspective. The course covers the
basic
concepts of hands-on healing in a balanced
session as
well as good
body mechanics. At the end
of this
course the student will have hands-on experience
in the
five steps in preparation for the massage,
including
checking in and developing sensitivity to the
Pulses of
the Body. This
yoga-derived system allows
the
practitioner or teacher to gain a
three-dimensional
perspective on facilitating and participating in
another's healing process. Please wear loose
clothing;
participants remain fully clothed for the
process.
