The Level Two Southern Style course ( 30 CE hrs) is the full 3 hr Southern Style Kata . Building on the material covered in the Level One Southern style course, students will learn all the points and Sen Lines ( meridians) and Assisted Yoga Asanas to complete this hands on protocol for generally balancing the principal Chakras and energy lines. Good body mechanics and the role of breath in partnership within the therapeutic encounter are emphasized. This material is covered in two separate weekends with a few weeks between to allow the student to develop comfort with the movements etc. Practice sessions are assigned during the break. Basic Western anatomy and physiology as it applies to Oriental bodywork is introduced at this time. The concept of balanced circulation of energy is explained and the development of hands on applications of diagnosis and release will be practiced throughout the course. With a focus on Puja or prayers and mantra the meditative aspects of the healing interaction are introduced in recognition of the spiritual tradition of this lineage. Expect to be exposed to more material than can be easily memorized in this 30 hour course. Ongoing practical opportunities will be offered to refresh and deepen in this work. The healing that students receive during the class is substantial and is the underlying foundation of the work: heal yourself first with the benefits of yoga , as you act as a conduit for those same benefits to help the person you touch. This tradition is practiced fully clothed, please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a pillow and a blanket to class.

David Weitzer, LMT has been a student and practitioner of massage since 1976 with training in Jin Shin Do, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Sports Massage and is a Certified Yoga Instructor. David has focused on Traditional Thai Massage since 1990 and became a Certified Instructor in 1996. David studies each year with his master Pischet Boonethumme in Thailand, a spiritually focused teacher who cares most of all about really helping the people we touch and taking care of ourselves at the same time.
